The company focuses on developing and maintaining open-source system software and virtualization technologies, optimizing particular features of system software. A particular attention is paid to Erlang/OTP and an improvement of interactions between the Erlang virtual machine (BEAM) and underlying OSes including *BSD and real-time OSes unsupported by Ericcsson. Since August 2011 Massive Solutions set up the strategic cooperation with Erlang Solutions to improve the level of services provided by both companies.
The biggest experience has been gained with Linux (over 10 years). The company maintains its own distributive for internal use and for generating any problem-oriented suites that may be requested by its customers. All kinds of works needed to modify the Linux source code are available on demand. Those include kernel programming, a migration of functionality between the kernel & userspace, driver development etc. This experience is employed actively in building scalable HPC systems (including those ranked high in Top500), cloud and real-time solutions.
